What an extraordinary privilege to photograph that first-born baby. Although every baby is a miracle and a blessing, there is a magical anticipation for first-time parents as they welcome their little one. This beautiful family hails from Scarsdale, New York, and they’ve recently celebrated the arrival of their son. Bill and Michele first met four years ago, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. They’ve been parents to their “fur baby” (dog Jake), which has prepared them well for the love and care they are now giving to their firstborn son! They wanted to make sure Jake was included in this session, and I was more than happy to oblige in my Greenwich studio. The newly minted quartet enjoys spending time together, and cites honesty, loyalty, and support as their family values. 

The nursery setup was something the family was very excited to do, and they ended up choosing pretty shades of blue, gray and white for the furniture and paint. I worked to create coordinating images that will look beautiful hung throughout the home and nursery, and also to meet their requests for both candid and posed portraits of all of them together. The proud parents plan to display these as wall prints, online photos, and on their birth announcements for family and friends. “We chose Looking Up Photography because we wanted to get cute pics of the baby, and of our growing family that we can always cherish”, adds mom, “We were so excited to have our first baby, and for his very first photoshoot”. I couldn’t believe how calm and well-rested they all looked; parenthood looks amazing on these two (now four). I can’t wait to watch their adorable baby grow up, and hopefully to cross paths with them again soon.
